I have used Audirvana for years, with iTunes and Qobuz. The move to a subscriber model doesn’t bother me. But the pricing does, somewhat. Qobuz on its own provides significant value for me. Audirvana does not alone in comparison.

So, if push comes to shove I’ll ditch Audirvana. A shame. It’s the pricing, not necessarily the subscription model that’s the critical decision for developers, and their customers. And the perceived value. Otherwise I use the Qobuz player for convenience. Thus the subscriber model can be costly. On the other hand.

I have multiple Audirvana licenses to cover multiple machines that I use exclusively. If not, the monthly cost of using Audirvana across my machines would not be worth it. Good luck folks at Audirvana! Wunderhorn May 28 The subscription is a slap in the face of their customers.

Subscription-only models for a piece of software like this is a sign of pure greed and blatant disrespect. Rlevent May 28 They have significantly increased the price of this app by going to a subscription model.

SInce the app is a music player and not a service, there is no justification for a subscription. There are other apps that offer similar or better performance that are not subscription apps, such as JRiver Media Center. I have been using this app for years, but I will not use it any more.
